实在是听不出来的我打方括号了。[sic]是我知道这个看上去有语法错但是我听到的就是这样
Your english skill, uh, hopefully most of you will be able to understand me.
The [tech什么什么] institute conference, is a very very important conference, it's held generally one or two years all around the world. I have been very fortunate.
I have been able to attend three [tech什么什么] institute conferences, and actually present in [tech什么什么] institute conference. The first one i went to is in Egypt, in [Conoraro] Egypt. The second one i went to is in North Carolina, in america. The third one i went to is in [xxxxx] university, shanghai.
So it [tell me many great techsory spices], and amoungst [techsory] researches, the [什么什么] is a better conference you can attend in the world. last year, I went to three conferences, three international conferences. one was the [foubs society] conference, which was held in my university in australia(解释他的口音了= =), and it had 170 people attend that conference. I went to eh.. a performance [techsor] in turky, in istanbul turky, and its about[sic] 140 people attend that conference. I went to a natrual [fobus] conference in portugal, and there was about... i think 160 people attend that conference.
At this conference, being held here, there was over 400 people submitted their paper, they get accepted and come and present at conference. There is only 300 that will be able to attend, because of the venue not big enough to hold that many people. And that gives you an idea, it is almost double the size of all the conferences i went to last year. Its just how important this conference will be for this university, and how important it is to these people that would come and present at this conference.
so fortunatelly [some their] paper will be accepted, and I will be attending the conference here, and presentsenting. uh, my area that i[sic] will be presenting in, is [micro cybo clous]. So, its quite an interesting thing for me to come here, [wooharm] in [thirsty] in china I ever visited, when i come to china the first time. In the first time i come to[sic], the [campus] almost didnt exist back then, was only the campus in city [rear].
It's really important, as a helper, or volunteer, to be in one[sic] of these conferences, you have many benefits if you become a volunteer in one of these conferences. the first one, you improve your english. everyone attend these conference have two things in common. Can anyone tell me what the two things in common?
.....(此处中文略)
English. that is very good. Everyone attending the conference will have some skill in speaking english; otherwise they would not attend, because the conference is entirely in english.
The other reason, the other thing we all have in common is we're all [texstol] people. so, having english, and being able to talk to someone who speaks english, uh, as their first language, you will benefit greatly[sic] in your english skills. And there will be many people at the conference, most of them will probably be visiting china for the first time, so there will be a little [skip], usually they can probably speak no chinese. and so Being a volunteer you will be able to reassure them, and talk to them, and help them while they are at here at the conference. so this is important.
Not only these. These people are very important people, I'll use this [wangshun] guy as an example, [if this] wangshun guy attend this conference in [corayshia] two years ago, and the helper that was assigned for him and help him while he was at the conference, Is now currently visiting our university, using our research equipment. She was an undergrad student when she was a helper, and when she started to do he post-graduate student[sic], post graduate studies, her superviser and professor wont organize for her to come and stay in one year of PH.D addition. Because she was an exceptional student, and she was up to show [shungal, professor wong], how exceptional she was, as as student helper.
So if you are interested in visiting an international university, or becoming an international research student, you will get exposed to researches all over the world: america, uh, germany, france, england... so you will have the ability to talk to supervisors that might be potential supervisors for your research later in there.
Also you might have the chance to see some of the presentations, which is very good, because you will get to see the leding research that you have been undertaken [deksar], and you will be with many people that you will make life-long friendship with. I was at a conference in HangZhou two years ago, and the student helper, who was at the conference then attend two of the [arku with], still write to me with emails and ask me questions, and we talk quite regularily. So this is also a benefit of being a student helper, or a volunteer.
sorry, hopefully i have [slapped] you with enough information for you to work in here, but remember, if you come along as a volunteer, you will be exposed to many people, from random world. It will only benefit you, if you're brave, if you go up and you talk with them. If you talk in the meal time, and all the student helper sit together, you will not learn anything, you will not get the benefit.
So if you do get the chance of being a volunteer, and you come along, if you see there is a table of international people, go and sit there, go and talk to them. Ask them about their work, ask them about where they come from, their lifes, their university, their [wappay aye], and things like this[sic]. umm, you will get the most benefit in doing this.[后面很短一句没听出来,然后就是掌声了]
